Alana Kushnir is a freelance art curator and lawyer. She is the Director and Founder of Art Law Agency, which provides legal and curatorial services to individuals and to public, private and non-profit organisations in the contemporary art sector. Kushnir lectures in arts law, curating and contemporary art at the University of Melbourne. From 2013 - 2016 she was the General Counsel and Cultural Program Executive for the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
In 2013 Alana completed an MFA Curating program at Goldsmiths in London. Prior to this, she worked at commercial law firm King & Wood Mallesons where she specialised in trade practices and consumer law. Kushnir holds a Bachelor of Arts (Art History) and a Bachelor of Laws - both with First Class Honours - from the University of Melbourne.
